HNA mission includes the production and transfer of knowledge to its Cadets through teaching and research. Faculty members and staff of the School are encouraged to conduct research in the field of naval science and technology. Unclassified research is supervised by the HNA Research Committee and the Educational Council, while classified research is conducted under the rules of confidentiality of the Hellenic Navy General Staff.
Currently the Academy implements the following nationally funded research projects:
RADAR: “Heterogeneous 3D integration employ disruptive nanotechnologies for the next generation of smart power RF T/R modules”, funded by EPAnEK 2014-2020 / Research – Create – Innovate Action. The project started in 2019 and is operated by the Electronics Lab of HNA.
NAVMAT: “Knowledge based System for naval materials failures”, Funded by the Hellenic Research and Innovation Fund. The project started in 2020 and is run by the Mechanics and Materials Division.
