Dr. MAGOULAS ARISTEIDIS
Director of the Electrical Technology Cognitive Equipment and Objects Lab
BSc-diploma in Electrical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, 1985
PhD in Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, 2000

On May 21, 1960, Aristides Magoulas was born in Constantinople. In February 1985, he received his Electrical Engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). In February 2000, he received his PhD in engineering from the NTUA's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. "Scattering from perfect conductors, a hybrid solution of the Maue equation" is the title of his doctoral dissertation. Dr. I. G. Fikioris, who is currently an Emeritus Professor at the NTUA, served as the chair of his dissertation committee. He undertook a teaching assignment at NTUA in addition to working on his dissertation.

He has been teaching electrical technology courses at the Hellenic Naval Academy since October 1989, first as senior registrar-instructor, then as an assistant professor-lecturer from January 2004, and finally as an associate professor since November 2008. His areas of interest include antennas, E/M wave propagation, measurements in electrical power systems, and electromagnetic (E/M) wave scattering problems using the method of integral equations (hybrid solution techniques).
